Syndrome X is a metabolic syndrome that a person has met the requirements, and is on track to heart disease. People who are overweight and metabolic meet two conditions: insulin resistance, elevated triglycerides and low density lipoprotein, but low levels of high density lipoprotein or blood pressure are more likely to suffer a heart attack.
Metabolic syndrome occurs when a person has a sedentary lifestyle with high calorie intake. Overtime extra calories will turn into fat cells and stored in the liver and stomach, and lack of exercise means less chance to burn excess energy stored in the body. Together with the accumulation of fatty deposits in blood vessels and you have a narrowing of the arteries and veins.
A diet of processed foods and high in fat and sugar, does not help the situation. Muscle and liver to become insensitive to insulin, a hormone to stimulate the consumption of glucose from the blood to be used or stored. It is worrying because people with the metabolic syndrome increases risk due to lack of exercise, and especially lack of education about how to live a healthy life.
